Грехи упущения и практика экономической науки

Аннотация

В работе выдвигается тезис о том, что экономика как научная дисциплина отдает предпочтение жесткости (hard/hardness) в ущерб мягкости (soft/softness). Эта предвзятость приводит к тому, что экономические исследования пренебрегают важными темами и проблемами, к которым трудно подойти «жестко», что порождает грехи упущения. Статья содержит аргументы в пользу пересмотра существующих правил публикации и карьерного продвижения в области экономической науки, а также убеждает в необходимости значительно повысить терпимость в вопросах публикации и продвижения — эта необходимость продиктована задачей ослабить узкие методологические предубеждения.
